Living in Ryton? Sick of takeaway food? Well, try something a bit different.

Opened in July 2015, and seated next to the Cooperative in Ryton, Pieri’s has had an influx of positive reviews, offering authentic and tasty Mediterranean food at a very reasonable price. The restaurant is tastefully designed, and the staff are friendly and as helpful as they can be. TripAdvisor rates it on their Top 10 Restaurants in Gateshead, and it has an average rating of 4.5 stars.

Having never had Mediterranean food before, it was definitely worth the risk. The cheese roll starters were crisp and the perfect appetizer, as the main meals are rather large. The chicken Guvec was tasty and freshly cooked (despite the lack of chicken in the dish). The menu is varied, with a wide selection of flavours to please your palette.

The manager and staff are friendly and made it their mission to get everything to you as quickly as possible, without overdoing it.

Service is excellent, and the food is definitely worth the price.

So if you find yourself in Ryton and stuck for food, try something you wouldn’t normally go for. You wont be disappointed.
