Not taking into account the non-American versions of the show, there are currently seven different versions of ‘The Real Housewives’; Atlanta, Beverly Hills, D.C., Orange County, Atlanta, New Jersey and Miami and each series has its own unique set of housewives.

The programmes focus on 4-7 upper-class women, as they go about their day-to-day activities; attending parties, buying flash new cars and most frequently, having explosive arguments with the other women. ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ is no exception: the latest series, aired on ITVBe, follows Lea, Adriana, Lisa, Joanna, Alexia and their families. We decided to give our rundown of each housewife, and how we feel about their behaviour this season.

Lea – Lea Black is said to be like the “mayor of Miami”. She knows everybody and everybody knows – and has their own opinion of – her. She’s also the mayor of sly digs, in our opinion, as she likes to speak her mind, despite how it might make the others feel. However, she’s a popular member of the group, and can always spare one of her few million dollars to help someone out.

Adriana – This fiery Brazilian woman has been in conflict with both Joanna and Lea this season. She is certainly not afraid to stand up for herself, much to the exasperation of her husband Frederick – the amicable French man she married this season.

Lisa – Forever meddling into other people’s business, Lisa spends this season trying to resolve the tensions in the group but often makes them a lot worse. She constantly argues with her husband, Lenny, particularly over their stressful decision to try and have a child.

Joanna – the Polish model spends most of the series planning her wedding to Romain, and changing her mind constantly over who is allowed to come. During her bachelorette party in Vegas, she wreaks havoc in the group, after pushing Lisa over the edge with constant taunts about employment.

Alexia – Always the sound and reasonable member of the group, Alexia always has some good advice to give to the other women and most importantly, her troubled son, Peter. She always tries to stay neutral and unbiased, but sometimes is forced to pick a side.
