The singer will host the awards show in her hometown, more than 20 years since it was last held there. She will perform her new music at the event on 12th November (a certain someone’s birthday), at the SSE Arena in Wembley.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan gave the news of the venue in February as part of his London Is Open campaign. He was also recently in the news for backing Transportation for London’s decision to not renew Uber’s private hire licence.

Rita Ora, who made it into the charts in 2012 with Hot Right Now and R.I.P with Tinie Tempah, recently appeared in the BBC’s Live Lounge and covered Madonna’s Like a Virgin and her new single Your Song, which was co-written by Ed Sheeran.

Ed has also hosted the MTV EMAs, in 2015, with Bebe Rexha hosting in 2016.

The full list of presenters and performers will be released during the next few weeks, so we’ll keep you informed.
