Roll on the Weekend

With Glastonbury upon us, there are a few things to be happy about…

No more mud baths – the weather is looking good for the festival season this year. So no more sloshing around in puddles, and wrecking your new camping equipment you probably won’t take with you anyway. Plus, there’s nothing we Brits love more than complaining about the heat. Although it is more bearable with a drink in hand. Just remember sun cream.

Friday Night Pyramid stage – What’s not to be excited about? To really kick things off on Friday night we have The XX, Royal Blood, Blossoms, Major Lazer, Lorde, Halsey, Dizzee Rascal, and much more scattered across the various stages. Should be a good kick off for the evening.

Festival Friends – We all have them. Those wonderful people we meet when sloshed for a few days then never speak to again. Might be too embarrassing to even think about that.

Sunday Night – A feast for the ears, from Ed Sheeran to Biffy Clyro to Emeli Sande, Rag’N’Bone Man, you name a genre, we got it. We’ve got Halsey for goodness sake. It doesn’t get much more out there than Halsey. (Am I being sarcastic? Who knows.)

Being outside – Not really something I do very often, but think of it. All those people, friends, family, couples, people from every walk of life getting together in one place to enjoy some of the world’s best music. How cool is that? Given the past month, we need a bit of a breather. Just don’t go to the bogs.

BONUS – We get to do it all again next year! It sounds like a cliché, but what could be more exciting that doing an awesome thing, then doing it again the year after?

Happy festival season, folks!

Stay safe, drink responsibly and all that.
