OMI has held onto the top spot for the second consecutive week with his single ‘Cheerleader.’

The single had more than 14,000 sales ahead of the Paul Walker tribute single ‘I’ll See You Again’ which is by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth. ‘Cheerleader’ was also the most streamed track of the week, amassing over 3.2 million listens.

The reggae singer  said of his success , “I knew it was a good song when I recorded it, but I always say, I don’t determine whether it’s a number one. The people do.

“Thanks to the people. I’m a fan of my fans. I love you very much, thank you.”

It was Mumford and Sons who took the album chart this week however, minus their trademark banjo sound. The group stormed to the number one spot with their third studio release Wilder Mind, knocking Blur off the top spot.
