If all you fellow travel-lovers are anything like me, then you’ll know how fun it is to sit and watch travel videos and vlogs of other people doing crazy things all around the world! There’s everything from the global phenomenon that is the skydiving, surfing, and extreme partying videos of Jay Alvarez and his model girlfriend Alexis Ren, to the amazing round the world 360 degree selfie videos of Alex Chacon.

If you’re a budding young travel vlogger, there’s just one handy little device needed for you to start making your very own amazing travel videos – an action cam. Action cameras are usually small compact cameras which can be mounted a number of different ways so that you can take them everywhere from the beach to extreme sports like sky diving and snowboarding.

Now the action cam on everyone’s lips is of course the GoPro (www.gopro.com), but having done a little bit of my own research into action cams, I have managed to find an amazing dupe with a student price tag! The SJCam action cameras are much like GoPros in many ways: they look similar, they can be mounted with exactly the same accessories, and they both take high quality wide angle videos and photographs to capture all your amazing travel memories. And whilst a new GoPro can cost you upwards of £300, SJCams can be bought online  for a fifth of the cost and also come with inbuilt  Wifi to wirelessly transfer your videos to your smartphone; a whole range of mounts and accessories, and waterproof housing for all your underwater adventures!

So if you’re interest in this little gem everyone is calling the ‘poor man’s GoPro’ then have a look at online reviews and comparisons; there are a number of YouTube videos comparing the two!

Get creating some amazing travel videos and make sure to hashtag them #ShareTheWorld so we can see them here at B**p.
