A new update for Snapchat was announced last month. The new and improved app which is available on the app store (IOS), now allows the user to send new instant messages and conduct video calls. It also allows users to chat face-to-face and private message friends or family.

All chats will be deleted after every conversation. However you can simply tap and save anything you like such as an address, phone number or possibly a memory you may like to keep.

Vine the short video messaging app has also just recently added the option to send direct messages, not long after the new Snapchat update was released.

Snapchat rejected a £1.8bn offer from Facebook last year, to buy the company.

Who needs Mark Zuckerberg anyway?
