With the role up in the air for 007, it’s leaving many of us to wonder who could actually replace Daniel Craig on the big screen.

The 48-year-old has supposedly made £38 million in his time as 007, from his first appearance in Casino Royal to his performance in Spectre last year.

However, Craig has made a few remarks about his next appearance as Bond. As in, he would rather “cut [his] wrists” than film another one. As well as this, consistently throughout filming for Spectre, Craig made it clear this would be his last one.

So, who could play him next?

Well, we have a few ideas:

Idris Elba: Have you seen Luther?!
He’s a superbly charismatic actor, and delivers a powerful performance no matter what the role. From small cameos in things like Thor, to acting a father figure in Pacific Rim, 007 would be perfect for him, and there have already been rumours of him playing the role. (Plus, the first black actor playing Bond? Who wouldn’t want that?)

Tom Hardy: In Legend, he played criminals. Could he play the hero?

Hardy has shown a flare for changing up his persona for a role. From Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, to the silent and almost comical Max from Fury Road, he has a wealth of talent that could really give us a new face for Bond. Plus, look at those blue eyes. So dreamy.

Michael Fassbender: Hear me out.
Fassbender is a brilliant actor. Hands down. With his performance in X-Men and his stellar performance as Macbeth, Fassbender would suit the role perfectly. His delivery would be on point, and plus, he looks like Bond.

Yes, we know there’s only three, but still! There could be more…

It will (hopefully) be revealed soon… just who will be taking on the mantle of the world’s greatest spy?
