Publisher of Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider, Square Enix reported their earnings today, from the nine-month period that ended in December. The report showed that revenue and profit had risen for both.

Revenue for the nine-month period was ¥190 billion ($1.7 billion), up from ¥152 billion ($1.3 billion) during the same period in 2015. Profit came in at ¥17 billion ($151 million), up from ¥13.5 billion ($120 million), which is a rather large rise.

The company commented on the releases of Final Fantasy XV and Rise of the Tomb Raider. While it did not mention specific sales, they did say FFXV shipped six million copies.

It added that digital sales were “strong”, but didn’t mention any specific titles.

Square Enix’s MMO games, like Final Fantasy XIV, have shown what they call “steady performance”, but the income for those has dipped, due to there being no expansion in the past few months for the games.

Square Enix have recently announced they will be working on a Marvel game, with Deus Ex developers Eidos Montreal, while Deus Ex will be taking a break.

A few other big game developers are releasing their earnings this week, and it will be interesting to see how Blizzard is doing, with the massive success that was Overwatch last year.
