Oh Sweet Irony

A US pastor who blamed homosexuals for rampant flooding in parts of the US of A has just had to evacuate his home… due to a giant flood in Louisiana.

Mr Tony Perkins, who in 2015 agreed with extreme Messianic Jewish pastor Jonathan Cahn that “God was trying to send us a message”, that it was wrong to legalise gay marriage and abortion, and the flooding was a “sign of God’s wrath”.

Perkins campaigned for US senate in 2002, against LGBT rights.

Floods have claimed the lives of 13 people so far in the state, and have left tens of thousands stranded with their homes destroyed.

While this is tragic, and the flooding itself is no laughing matter, you have to appreciate the irony.
