The demand for tattoos as well as their removal is on the rise. ‘One in five of the UK population as a whole is tattooed and this figure rises to one in three for young people,’ reported the Daily Telegraph.

But many tats come with regret. Maybe the inking is a shabby job and not quite what you expected. Maybe it’s just not you any more. Either way, surgical procedures to remove unwanted ink have increased rapidly, with one in six people wanting to get rid of their tattoos.

Celebrities affect people in different ways. Whilst a number of us may not be interested in the latest celebrity gossip, others look up to them to set an example or to inspire them so it is hardly surprising that 12% of people stated ‘celebrities were the inspiration for their body art.’

A lot of people have gone to the extent of dedicating a piece of their body to these celebrities to symbolise their admiration.
