After recently announcing Battlefield 1, EA has another returning title ready to reveal.

Titanfall 2 is also coming out this year, nearly three years after the first game. The game is scheduled for a late 2016 release.

Late 2016 is now chock-full of titles, including Infinite Warfare coming out in November. Originally Titanfall 2 was said to be being released during the October 2016 to March 2017 period, but after a press conference, they confirmed the new Mass Effect will be released in early 2017.

C.E.O. Andrew Wilson said “we feel we actually have a strong position to deliver the broadest set of gameplay mechanics as it relates to [the] first-person shooter genre across the two titles.”

The first Titanfall was rather successful in terms of reviews, but was lumped with less successful launch titles like Evolve, which left much to be desired. The game centred around two teams of players fighting for control of a map, with PvP and PvE elements.

When ready, you could call in a Titan – a hulking suit of metal and fire power – to finish the fight.

The complete reveal will be on June 12th, at EA Play during E3.

We look forward to seeing how they’ve swung the next one, and we hope it gets the limelight the first one deserved.

Oh, you tease.
