One of the world’s hottest supermodels right now, Gigi Hadid, has finally turned her hand at designing.

Last Thursday, the American clothes label Tommy Hilfiger announced Hadid as their latest global brand ambassador. As part of her new role for the company, the American ‘it girl’s’ responsibilities include collaborating on clothing, accessories, footwear and fragrances,marking Hadid’s first breakthrough into the world of designing.

After a hectic and successful 2015 which saw the ‘Tommy Girl’ star in Victoria Secret’s exclusive runway show, named the Daily Front Row’s Model of the Year, become the face of Maybelline cosmetics, and star in numerous campaigns for labels such as Topshop, Guess, and Versace, Hadid is surprised and overjoyed with the news. She commented, “I never thought I would be asked to design a capsule collection, so it still feels like a dream that Tommy approached me to collaborate.”

The new collection will be released in fall in a new bid by the label to globally expand its female market. Amongst collaborating on the designs of the new collection which includes a new fragrance, active wear, accessories and footwear, as a global brand ambassador, Gigi Hadid will also model in numerous campaigns for the high-end global brand.
