York Christmas Festival

This is one of the most popular Christmas markets in the North East, and we would highly recommend it! Not only will the market itself be wonderful, but a trip to York is always an enjoyable one. Lots of great food, some sightseeing, and plenty of Christmas joy. What more could you want?

Durham City Traditional Christmas Market

If you’re looking to buy something unique and interesting, this is the place to go. The Craft and Gift Marquee on Palace Green will feature over 190 stalls, with lots of local produce, hand-made crafts, jewellery, and so much more.

Newcastle International Christmas Market

We all love an international market, never mind at Christmas time! With a variety of food and drink from all over Europe, your tastebuds will be tingling. Plus, there’s plenty to do in Newcastle, so you can really make a day of it.

The Bowes Museum Christmas Market

If you’re looking for something a bit more up-market, you’ll love this. Not only can you treat yourself to some quality produce from the finest suppliers in the area, but there’ll also be some great entertainment, as well as a Santa’s grotto for the little ones.

Red Fox Christmas Market

This is a great event for families. As well as your usual Christmas stalls, there’s the opportunity to visit Santa’s grotto, and even Narnia. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Where’s your favourite Christmas market?
