Twitter’s Most Influential (UK)

One Direction are at the top of a list created by PeerIndex dictating the most influential Brits on Twitter. Liam Payne came in first followed by crazy hair band mate Harry Styles, with Niall Horan in third place trailed by Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik in fourth and fifth place respectively.

Ed Sheeran, David Cameron and Stephen Fry have also made it on to the top 10 “influential celebrities” list. It comes as a shock that David Cameron has actually influenced people… it has to be the Tories cheering him on. That’s a round of applause for you Mr Cameron.

Feminist author and journalist for The Times Caitlin Moran has also made the list at number nine followed by the funny and witty Ricky Gervais.

Well done to everyone who made it on to the top of the “list” and a big congratulations to the 1D lads, you’ve left The Wanted shaking in their boots.

Sorry girls, but Justin Bieber didn’t make the cut because we Brits appear to have a bit more common sense. Lady Gaga would have also topped the list if the views of Americans were taken into consideration.

Other “Influential” celebrities made it on to the list such as Jessie J, Nick Grimshaw and Olly Murs. Surprisingly, Joey Barton even made it on to the top 20, his fake French accent stunt must have made him so much more influential to the British public.
