The first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok has arrived!
As expected, it will follow the storyline of Planet Hulk, where Hulk is on a distant planet, forced to fight in gladiatorial combat, but the focus is likely to be on Thor, obviously.
Thor’s hammer is broken at the beginning of the trailer by a new foe, Loki is obviously in the film too, and we also see a very special big green friend. Check it out below.
Cate Blanchett will play the film’s villain, Hela, and Jeff Goldblum will be starring as the Grandmaster, who oversees the gladiator matches on this distant planet.
Earlier this year, the film’s synopsis read:
“In Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his home world and the end of Asgardian civilisation – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!”
Safe to say we’re excited!
The film is directed by Taika Waititi and will be out in November this year.
