#YEAR10PROBLEMS

5 January 2015

Hello and a Happy New Year to you all! 2015 is going to be a year full of emotions: the good ones, the bad ones, and the ugly ones so today we will discuss what our resolutions for this year should really be.

In 2014, a lot of people I was surrounded by hadn’t really found themselves and they never seemed to have a good vision of who they were and where they were going. If you are feeling like that this year, then that should be your resolution – to find yourself. Try new things, experiment and just do it. Leave your comfort zone – you might find a new one. This year (if you are in Year 10, of course) should be the year you realise who you are and what your purpose is in this world – it doesn’t have to be becoming the next Adele, or getting a Knighthood. It just has to be what suits you best.

Another thing I noticed among people I know last year was that they didn’t seem to have much time to accept themselves if they knew who they were. They didn’t accept the fact they were perhaps ‘the quiet one’, or even ‘the loud one’ – this is essential as the people who love you in your life right now love you for this part of you. So, if you found yourself in 2014, then your resolution for 2015 should be to accept the person you are – accept that you have flaws, that you have wonders to your personality. 2015 should be about embracing yourself for all that you are.

By the end of 2015, it would be amazing if we could have a generation full of confidence and acceptance. It would also be verging on impossible because for some people, finding themselves is a little more difficult and takes a little longer and of course, for some people, they find that step the easiest and struggle with accepting it.

With discovery comes acceptance.
