#YEAR13PROBLEMS

Bad relationships

Since 2018 is just around the corner, a lot of us are looking back at this year and, quite rightly, reflecting on our decisions and events that have happened. One such decision many of us are replaying in our heads is a bad relationship. I’m talking specifically about ‘love’ relationships, although they don’t seem to exist with most of our generation at the moment.

Bad relationships – although we can’t call them relationships because that’s a step too far forward, you’re just ‘talking’ – plague our generation and it’s a real shame. They consist frequently of one person in the relationship cheating, half-cheating/not cheating at all (depending on who you are and what you want to believe) because they did something with someone else before you were ‘official’ and using one person before totally blanking them. They’re toxic and they mess with people’s heads, regardless of gender. While the balance is definitely girls getting screwed over by bad relationships, some boys do too – and it’s just as rubbish.

So, my main suggestion this week is to leave bad relationships in 2017. Chuck the lad you’re ‘talking’ to on Snapchat who won’t commit even though you’re pretty much together – you deserve better. Chuck the girl who continues to act as though she’s the one in the right, using your past to make you feel bad even though she did the exact same thing. Oh, and, everyone, please leave caring about the ex who doesn’t deserve you anyway in this year. In 2018 we all deserve better, including you.
