Although there have been many great films released this year, here are B**P’s top 10 picks, of all different genres.

1. 22 Jump Street

Normally the sequel to a film never reaches the peak of the original, but this time it might just have done it. Once again, Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill work together to create a fantastic comedy which will leave you laughing for days. There are no overused jokes, and the plot only gets funnier. We wouldn’t mind seeing another film released – although that might be something to do with Channing’s body – those arms…

2. The Fault in our Stars

This is a bit of a soppy one, but it’s great nevertheless. With a great cast and a great storyline, based on the best-selling novel by John Green, this was set to be a great film from the start. And, it didn’t fail to impress…but you might want to take some tissues with you just in case.

3. Horrible Bosses 2

This is a definite laugh out loud film, with a hilarious storyline. And, who doesn’t love to watch a bit of Jennifer Aniston?

4. The Purge: Anarchy

If you don’t like horror films but you like something that’s a bit scary and thrilling then this is the film for you. Following on from the first film, this is just as good and doesn’t fail to build up tension and fear throughout – a great watch!

5. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1

The Hunger Games trilogy has always been popular, and even more so when the films began to be released. So, this is just another in a set of great, intriguing films that keep you interested throughout.

6. Lucy

This is a very unique and strange film, but there is no doubt that it is extremely interesting and makes you consider so much more than you would ever have imagined to while sitting in the cinema. A definite watch if you’re looking for something entertaining and yet also curiously fantastic.

7. Deliver Us From Evil

This is definitely a terrifying horror film, so this won’t be in your top 10 if you don’t like feeling scared! But if you do then this is the ideal one to watch – you will be on the edge of your seat throughout, as it is rather graphic.

8. Bad Neighbours

Now where do we start with this one? Aside from a marvellous scene consisting of a topless Zac Efron, this is also a great comedy. From creating their own dildos to make some money to hiding air bags inside an office chair, there are plenty of laughs throughout.

9. The Wolf of Wall Street

This film is just crazy, but the filming of it makes it absolutely fantastic. Leonardo DiCaprio plays the role perfectly, allowing the reader to be fully engaged in the shocking antics of a stockbroker.

10. Boyhood

This film has been in the making for a whole 12 years, capturing the heart of the viewer, as we follow a young boy through his journey into becoming a man. The same cast are used throughout filming, producing a completely different and original film. This is like nothing else, and you will be pleasantly surprised.
