2015 has been particularly interesting in terms of music. One Direction have announced that they are going on a break, Adele has come back onto the scene after 4 long years with a new album, and some of us have even started loving Justin Bieber. What is happening?! Yet it has also been one of the greatest years regarding the quality of music, lyrically and vocally. So, although it is extremely hard to pick out just 10 of the best songs from 2015, here’s our list:

1. Hotline Bling – Drake – We can all relate to the lyrics in this song, obsessing over ex-lovers and friends, scrolling through their social media accounts and wondering what they’re doing now. This has been extremely popular recently, and as Drake’s label forgot to submit it to the Grammy Awards, we had to give it some credit!

2. Where Are U Now – Skrillex and Diplo/Justin Bieber – This year, it seems that we’ve all fallen a little bit for Justin Bieber, if you hadn’t done so already. With some great tracks to sing along to on his new album, this is one of the most memorable.

3. Shut Up and Dance – Walk The Moon – This track seems to encourage all of us to just seize the moment, and with catchy lyrics, it’s a great song to just dance along to! Although it wasn’t released in 2015, it has been hugely successful this year.

4. See You Again – Wiz Khalifa ft Charlie Puth – Following the devastating death of Paul Walker, this song is a great tribute to him.

5. Lay It All On Me – Rudimental ft. Ed Sheeran – Together, the two artists have created a fantastic song, with a great beat to bop along to along with matching lyrics.

6. Love Me Like You Do – Ellie Goulding – In the year that Fifty Shades of Grey was released, it isn’t surprising that a song featuring on the soundtrack was extremely popular, and of course we all love a bit of Ellie.

7. Black Magic – Little Mix – Another very catch song, with a great beat and even better lyrics.

8. Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) – Silento – This has got to be up there as one of the best songs of the year, as so many people joined in with the popular dance.

9. Can’t Feel My Face – The Weeknd – It seems that this was played time and time again on the radio, but we just can’t get enough of it.

10. Hello – Adele – What a great track to return back onto the music scene with after 4 years! With completely honest and unique lyrics, this is a touching song about heartbreak.
