The first trailer for the upcoming Queen movie Bohemian Rhapsody has been released and it looks legit. The movie will star Mr Robot’s Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury. The film will chronicle the band’s rise to fame and their performance at Live Aid in 1985.

The film will place an emphasis on Mercury, Queen’s larger than life frontman. Malek looks pretty good in the role. It will be directed by Dexter Fletcher, who took over from X-Men’s Bryan Singer.

The movie was written by Anthony McCarten, the guy behind The Theory of Everything and will star Game of Thrones’ Aiden Gillen.

This will be the second musical movie from Fox, after The Greatest Showman this year. It did incredibly well, with one song, in particular, remaining in the top ten UK chart for several weeks. Apparently, people love musicals.

Bohemian Rhapsody will be in cinemas 2nd November.

But if you can’t hold on until then, Mamma Mia 2 comes out in July on the 19th. What a year for musicals this is. You can read all about it here.
