London’s British Museum is the most popular attraction in the UK with a total of 6,695,214 visitors over last year. The National Gallery remains the second most visited attraction.
The list of top 10 most visited sites only has one attraction outside of London, which is a newly- built library in Birmingham. Edinburgh Castle and Chester Zoo are the only attractions outside of London in the top 20.
