Adele Says No To Superbowl

Looks like we have some heart-breaking news for all the Adele fans out there. The award-winning British singer has turned down the highly coveted chance to sing in the half-time show at the Super Bowl.

That’s right, despite the fact that the star will go head-to-head with none other than Queen B herself (Beyoncé Knowles) in a whopping seven different categories at this year’s VMAs later this month, the half-time Super Bowl performance is one thing she’s decided to leave to Beyoncé.

Beyoncé, famous for her sassy moves and booty-shaking, stole the show at this year’s Super Bowl in February when she stormed the stage with a troop of dancers in tow to her latest release, Formation, alongside other global superstars such as Bruno Mars and Coldplay. However, for Adele, the British ballad singer with a huge voice, this really isn’t her style.

Much to the disappointment of her fans, the artist confirmed her decision to the audience in her Los Angeles show, saying: “First of all, I’m not doing the Super bowl. I know I’m not Beyoncé, I can’t dance or anything like that.” She went on to add: “I mean, come on, that show is not about music. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no. I’m sorry.”

However, all hope is not lost! The star did hint that she’s thinking of changing up her music slightly, and one day the Super Bowl may actually become a possibility! Adele teased: “Maybe next time, for my next album, because I’m going to do a dance album next time. So maybe I’ll do it then.” Watch this space!
