Ed Sheeran Announces Engagement

It’s a happy day for Sheeran, but a sad day for us, as he announces his engagement to childhood friend and model, Cherry Seaborn. We’re just a little bit jealous…
Announcing the engagement on Instagram, Ed shared a photo of the pair together, writing:
“Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx.”
How long have the pair known each other?
Childhood friends who attended school together in Suffolk, Sheeran and Seaborn only became romantically involved years later.
Though they have managed to keep their relationship private from the press (and rightly so), it is believed they have been dating since 2015.
In February 2017, Sheeran alluded to their relationship on Radio 2, saying: “I spent every day for a year with this certain person, we kind of have a strong relationship now, which is good.
“I’m really secure now, we live together and we have cats, and I think when you have cats that’s kind of it.”
In addition to this, he also told Beats 1:
“This has been the first time I’ve ever actually had the time to fall in love properly.”
“‘I’ve always got into relationships very passionately – I’m a redhead and also Irish.”
“I’m ready, let’s go – tour bus babies, little fat, chubby babies that just walk around.”
