Newcastle United took on Swansea City away on Saturday at the Liberty Stadium. The game ended in a draw with both teams scoring two goals. Swansea’s opening goal came from striker Wilfred Bony in the 17th minute. Newcastle United pulled one back just before half time in the 43rd minute ending the first half 1-1. Newcastle’s equaliser came from Papiss Demba Cisse who has just came back from injury. Swansea’s goal to take the lead came only 5 minutes into extra time when Wayne Routledge fired home! It took a while before Newcastle equalised but the goal finally came from Papiss Cisse when he tapped one into the back of the net from 6 yards, which is virtually impossible to miss from there. What a way for Cisse to come back from injury pulling the game back not only once but twice!

With Newcastle’s draw this weekend that means that they are yet to win a game this season. Out of 7 games Newcastle have drawn 4 and lost 3. Newcastle sit 18th in the Barclay’s Premier league (third from bottom) and have some major improvements to make if they want to move up the table.

Manchester United 2 – 1 Everton
