Batman: The Killing Joke Finally Revealed!

From paper to moving pictures, the most iconic Batman story ever told is coming to DVD this August.

The story follows Bats going after the Joker once again. But that’s not all that’s happening.

This particular story touches on the idea that one day, someone will snap. The day that Bats crosses the line and kills Joker, or the one day Joker gets lucky and snuffs out Gotham’s Dark Knight. It’s a dark, rather serious tale of the Caped Crusader, and one many fans will love to see brought to life.

In the original story arc, we see a brutal clash between the clown and the Bat. Can’t wait to see it on screen.

The animation style is reminiscent of the art used in the original comic, as well as some of the panels from the graphic novel which are lifted straight from the book and placed into the film. Also, with the voice cast from the Animated Series, including the original Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy, and Joker Mark Hamill, this is a must see.

After the sour taste Batman V Superman left in our mouths, it’s good to see DC coming back with something their fans want. DC know their animation, and have re-imagined stories like Under the Red Hood and The Dark Knight Returns.

The trailer left me with chills.

The animated film will be available for home release on the 2nd of August.
