This is embarrassing.

The hype train has been met with a station of CGI and messed up plot lines.

According to reviews, BvS ain’t all that great.

ugh

However, it’s a rather odd thing. Not having seen the film yet, I can remain unbiased here, so let’s look at critical reviews.

ughugh

A rather stout reaction from many. And trust me, there’s more. A lot of critics have given the film flack over the plot, and how the characters lack motive, and how it seems to ‘descend into chaos’. But it’s important to point out that critics look for particular things in a movie.

If you, as an average Joe, went to see a movie like BvS, you wouldn’t be so bothered by an incoherent story, or the lack of character motivation. You would be going to see it because of the hype, and the intrigue the film has shown. To be entertained, and watch two heroes kick the crap out of each other for an hour.

Fan reviews almost prove this in a way.

As stated before, fans were impressed with the film on premiere. They praised Ben Affleck’s portrayal of the Batman, because it had never been done like this before.

We’ve never seen this darkness on screen, and if the trailer is anything to go on, this is a Batman that does not care. He brands criminals (literally) and is definitely more faithful to the Frank Miller Batman.

Fans loved it. Critics loved to slate it.

But let’s not forget the blunders of Rotten Tomatoes reviews past.

mmmmmhm

Yep.
