Black Mirror is a British television series that reflects on modern day society and its obsession with technology, questioning just how far it could go. Each episode brings you into a new and exciting world, full of suspense and mystery, but perhaps most importantly it forces you to think about your own life, and what changes you could make. It’s incredibly interesting, which is why we were so excited when Netflix revealed Season 3.

So, what’s so good about it?

Well, every episode is completely different so you never have to worry about catching up, or missing an episode. The programme delves into a number of different topics that truly are very interesting, and will keep you engaged throughout. As many of the stories are set in the future, you’re constantly wondering if it could really happen. With technological advances being made every day, it is very thought provoking. In particular, series 3 conjures up ideas about life after death, morality, and many more topical subjects.

However, this series in particular is slightly more far fetched, which can take some of the awe away about what the future could hold.

Despite this, the episodes are still great – in fact, some are arguably like short films, which keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. The production is just impeccable, with great acting and special effects that you wouldn’t even question not existing.

Regarding the programme’s content and structure, Brooker, the creator, noted, “each episode has a different cast, a different setting, even a different reality. But they’re all about the way we live now – and the way we might be living in 10 minutes’ time if we’re clumsy.”

This certainly isn’t a series for younger viewers, as it does contain some graphic content, and some scenes which may be shocking or upsetting, but if you’re desperate to watch something a little bit different then you’re in for a treat. You’ll be binge watching in no time.

What are you waiting for?
