Catching Fire is on ‘fire’… literally!

The second instalment of the Hunger Games series, ‘Catching Fire’ hit the box office in 2013, and has since been crowned the most popular movie in the US and Canada for last year.

The first movie, ‘The Hunger Games’ which came out in 2012, earned £248 million at the box office and the final part of the Suzanne Collins trilogy ‘Mocking Jay’ will be split into two parts, one realising this year and the 2nd part in 2015.

The second novel in the series made £252 million in the US beating the first installment and also beating out fierce competition from Marvel superhero ‘Iron Man 3’ and ‘Despicable Me 2.’

Jenifer Lawrence, who takes on the role of Katniss Everdeen in the series, recently won a Golden Globe for her latest film ‘ American Hustle.’
