About 30% of British adults have a tattoo, with over one million claiming they got ‘inked’ when they were under the influence of alcohol. One in five people have admitted that they regret their tattoo because they opted to have the name of an ex-partner plastered on their bodies. The average age for a tattoo is 19 but by the age of 35, 40% of people say they would get rid of their first tattoo.
Research gathered by truTV has revealed that celebrities are a big influence on people getting tattoos.
The celebrities with the best tattoos are:
1. David Beckham– He has back, chest, leg and hand tattoos including two full sleeves.
2.Rihanna– She has many tattoos including ‘Shhh…’ on her index finger and stars leading from her neck down her back.
3.Angelina Jolie– She is not shy of tattoos as she has had many in her younger years and had many tattoos removed including her tattoo reading her ex-husbands name ‘Billie Bob’.
4.In joint fourth is Robbie Williams and Ed Sheeran– Ed has a very colourful sleeve tattoo including a Heinz tomato ketchup logo, whereas Robbie went for a more tribal tattoo collection.
Cara Delevingne– Although she only started her tattoo collection this year, many people have took a liking to Cara’s small designs.
The celebrities with the worst tattoos are:
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini– Well Cheryl’s back tattoo speaks for itself really…And she still has Mrs Cole on her neck…Awkward.
Harry Styles– From a butterfly to a ship, Harry really needed to think before he inked.
Mike Tyson– Well his face says it all.
Jodie Marsh– From Naked ladies to Michael Jackson, Marsh certainly has the bizarre factor about her tats.
Rita Ora– She has a half-naked woman on her side but yet the Virgin Mary on her arm.
Lady Gaga– To appreciate Lady Gaga’s tattoos, you have to be Lady Gaga.
Zac Efron should be on the list for his ‘YOLO’ tattoo on his hand and Amanda Seyfried for the lovely word on her foot.
