Here are this week’s top five albums and singles!

If I Can Dream – Elvis Presley – A re-imagining of some of the King’s most famous songs with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, released October 30, 2015. This will mark the 12th time the late tasseled rock’n’roller has hit the top spot. His first hit was Heartbreak Hotel in 1956.

Get Weird – Little Mix – In second place, we have Little Mix, with their 3rd album, and well-deserved also. We recently covered their album in clash in Ellie Goulding’s ‘Delirium’ which both released on the 6th of this month, which brings us quite nicely to our next item…

Delirium – Ellie Goulding – 3rd place. This will be Ellie’s 3rd album also, since Halcyon in 2012. It appears not as many people have you on their mind as you think, dearest. (See what we did there?)

Another Country – Rod Stewart – Oh Lord. 26 studio albums in and he’s still making them. Releasing albums since the late 70s, he has topped a few charts in his time, and it’s nice to see another example of old blood in music. Even if it is a bit bland.

1 – Beatles – Basically a compilation of every single number one the band has ever had. Originally released on 13th of November 2000, it was issued on the 30th anniversary of the band’s breakup. Still taking those royalties though. This deluxe edition is said to be the sixth best selling album of the 21st century. (So far… obviously).

Now for some singles! And Adele is still heartbroken.

Hello – Adele – OBVIOUSLY. Adele has re-affirmed her indents in the sofa that is the No.1 slot in the charts once again after a hiatus of nearly five years. She teased us in an ad break for the X-Factor a few weeks ago, and since the song came out it’s everywhere. Okay Adele. We get it, you have issues letting go… and judging by the video, that house needs a thorough dusting.

Sorry – Justin Bieber – He better be sorry for releasing another song. Ha HA HA. Yes, he’s in the charts again, ever since 2008 it’s been ritualistic that he has to have a song in the charts each year, churning out the same kind of lyrics and awful tune. *Icy tone* Well done.

Sax – Fleur East – After coming second in the X-Factor in 2014, she confirmed at the beginning of 2015 that she had been signed by Simon Cowell (the money just never stops for him, does it?) and this is her first single as a signed solo artist. Her best performance to date was ‘Uptown Funk’ which was the song’s first exposure, before its studio version was released by Bruno Mars.

IN2 – Wstrn – You into this? This group has recently gained a substantial amount of exposure with their successful hit IN2. It’s a nice blend of hip-hop and electronics. Very easy listening. They announced that they had been signed on the 15th of August this year.

Never Forget You – Mnek & Zara Larsson – Pretty decent song by two decent artists. Mnek’s recent production credits include artists like Little Mix, Naughty Boy, and even Kylie Minogue. Zara Larsson has recently released her second studio single ‘Lush Life’ from her second album.

That’s all for this week! Come back next time where we’re all assured, Adele with still be here.
