Choking on Irony

In case you didn’t know, arguably what looks like a smurf villain recently became the most powerful man in the West. Trump’s inauguration was attended by literally tens of hundreds of people, and during it all, we almost glossed over one fact.
It’s no secret Trump isn’t a fan of the Chinese. Whether it’s a racial thing or he just hates the fact they import $3 billion more than the US exports and that makes little baby Donald sad. It’s a touchy subject for him either way.

He obviously loves his homeland so much he was willing to have the merch he was handing out at the inauguration made in the good ol’ US of A.
But oh no.
He didn’t.
.@realDonaldTrump Oh dear lord, honey. Your own inauguration hats were made in China. pic.twitter.com/jzW8rHvzUc

Two of his policy pledges have been to stand up to China and negotiate better trade deals for the US and bring manufacturing jobs back to the US.
Naturally, you can imagine the outrage. I did a quick google just to see some headlines, and um…
And Twitter for good measure.

All in all, I think it’s going about as well as we expected.
You said it, 3PO.
