At long last, we finally have some great news about the environment.

Scientists have predicted that by 2050, the use of coal could be completely eradicated and instead, replaced by renewable energy sources such as solar power.

Coal is so harmful to the environment because when burned, it releases CO2 which is the largest contributing gas to global warming. Not only that but the extraction process of coal is very damaging to the environment and areas surrounding coal mines can be completely devastated.

In this day and age, it has become a lot easier to make environmentally friendly adjustments in your life. Electric vehicles are often a lot cheaper than regular ones and it is the norm now to be conscious of where food items came from when shopping.

It has always been made out to us that fossil fuels will be here to stay forever but it seems now that we can live to see the day where coal and oil are no longer fundamental sources of energy. It would be nice to live in a world where we don’t have to be constantly worried about damage to our fragile planet such as extinction of species and deterioration of the ozone layer.
