Two of our favourite Geordie lasses, Denise Welsh and Scarlett Moffatt, are soon to be auctioned at a local charity ball.

Tonight,  Saturday, October 14, the two TV stars will go under the hammer in aid of the Tim Lamb Children’s Centre, based in Benton.

The charity supports children with disabilities and additional needs, providing everything from soft play to an IT suite, and even a sensory room, at their centre. At only £15 for a yearly membership, it’s a great way to bring not only children but also parents, together to support one another.

However, as with all charities, the centre could do with some additional funds, hence their decision to host an annual charity ball.

Both Denise and Scarlett are patrons of the group, with Denise having officially opened the centre back in 2012. Now, they’re going even further and auctioning themselves off in the name of charity.

Lynn McManus, founder of Pathways 4 All, which runs the centre, said:

We are absolutely delighted and honoured that Denise and Scarlett will be with us.

They have agreed to be auctioned off and the winners will be able to spend time with the stars. This shows just how much they support the charity.

The ball is an important fundraiser for us. It helps us support children from all over the North East with any additional needs, disabilities or chronic illness.

This year’s ball will be held at The Marriott Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, from 7 pm on Saturday. As well as the charity auction, the evening will include entertainment and a raffle, with a chance to win a diamond necklace worth more than £1,600. What more could you ask for?!
