Facebook and Instagram Hacked

The apocalypse is upon us as Facebook and Instagram were both ‘down’… for less than an hour this morning. Millions of users worldwide were unable to use the social media sites at around 6am today because of an alleged cyber-attack. Lizard Squad have claimed they were responsible for the online mishap, having already admitted to hacking Sony, Xbox and Malaysia Airlines within the last month. Facebook however, have strongly denied that there was a hack and simply blamed an outage on a ‘change that affected our configuration systems’.

Many people would have phoned in to work ill today due to post-traumatic stress; how else would they have described their breakfast blueberry muffin without phoning everyone in their contacts to explain what it looks like. It’s times like these that you don’t realise how much you love and cherish something until it’s gone. Tragic really.
