All Female Ocean’s 8 First Trailer

Ocean's 8

Ocean’s 8 will feature a star-studded line up of ladies from Hollywood. Whether it will be as good as the original is yet to be known. We’ll find out in 2018 I suppose.

The film stars Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett, alongside Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina and Sarah Paulson. The Ocean’s movies have always centred around a heist being pulled off. The original movies starred the likes of George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

The first movie came out in 2001 and was generally very enjoyable, filling in all the archetypes of a typical heist film. Given the cast they have, it might work. I think this may be the first thing I’ve seen Cate Blanchett in where she isn’t either an elf or a god?

The main location will be the Met Gala, where they will attempt to nab some rather expensive jewellery from Anne Hathaway’s character.

Might be good?

The last Ocean’s movie was Ocean’s 13 in 2007. It wasn’t too good if we’re honest. It suffered from ‘too many celebrities’ syndrome, by which we mean, there were 13 main characters.

Given the line-up of talent, this could revitalise a long since deceased series.
