Kingsman: The Secret Service

With the new ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ film coming out later this year and the trailer’s release just a couple of weeks ago, we thought we’d take you back to the first instalment in the epic spy-action film.

Colin Firth (Harry Hart) and Taron Egerton (Eggsy) unite as an unlikely duo in the film that is filled with laughs and a sharp plot twist that you most definitely did not see coming. It begins with Harry visiting a young mother and her toddler son to break the news of his father and her husband’s death in what we think is the secret service. He gives the child a medal and the mother a code phrase to use.

In what is not a plot twist, that child turns out to be Eggsy who grows up in a rough area alongside rough people. He eventually gets in contact with Harry and is enrolled on a Kingsman (a secret secret service organisation) training programme to live up to his father’s name.

Eggsy ends up saving the world from Valentine, an evil man with strangely good intentions. He wants to wipe out the human race by making everyone kill each other to prevent us causing climate change.

Sounds interesting to you? Well, you better give it a watch because it’s hilarious, sad and actually extremely engaging. I loved it.
