It’s that time of the week again when we reflect on the football results and what a weekend it was for Manchester United with a 4-2 win over their rivals Manchester City in the Derby yesterday.

City were looking for their fifth successive derby and it was certainly looking that way after Sergio Aguero slotted away David Silvas cross but it was only a few minutes later when United responded and outclassed their rivals. Just before half time with Ashley Young equalising and Fellani heading home just before half time to put the reds a goal ahead of their opponents.

Juan Mata

Juan Mata made it 3-1 half way through the second half then Chris Smalling finished off the blues by putting his side 4-1 up securing all three points for the home side.

The game didn’t end there Aguero bagged a second goal for Manuel Pellgrini’s side but it was nothing more than a consolation. United now go four points clear of their rivals in the Premier League table and recorded their sixth consecutive win whilst City have lost six out of their last eight competitive matches.
