With just two weeks to this year’s GNR, the thousands of runners who partake in the world’s biggest half-marathon have spoken – naming 20 songs they want to hear as they tackle this years 13.1 mile race.

In the online poll, the top three tracks were made up of (of course) Queen’s legendary ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ in first place, Rocky III’s theme ‘Eye of the Tiger’ in second and in third place was 2011 David Guetta megahit, ‘Titanium’.

Trailing behind the top three in the poll was The Killers’ ‘Mr Brightside’, Mark Knopfler’s ‘Local Hero’, ‘I’m Still Standing’ by Elton John and the catchy Kenny Loggins track, ‘Footloose’.

If you’re running this year’s Great North Run, good luck and if you don’t know them already – learn the words to your running songs!
