On January 8th, 2019, a new project released from the company ‘Hyundai’, of foretells of a car able to configure itself to form a quad of legs from underneath allowing it to walk autonomously.

The company released a video to show the performance of its current prototype, which surprisingly displays a decent speed of 3mph (5km/h) still over rough terrain and a high-quality balance.

The name of such design must be a unique and agreeably suitable name to go with it right? Well, that is the case. The name given to the Walking Car is ‘Elevate’!!! How cool is that?

Vice-president of Hyundai John Suh exclaimed that today’s current emergency vehicle transport is lacking efficiency and that when certain terrains and obstacles are in the way, the rest of the travel would have to be on footwork.

The company stated that an effective tactic would be to drive to the scene then elevate the legs to climb and stride over the obstacles in the way.

What do you think? Could this be a revolutionary design to potentially save thousands of lives, or will it be just too expensive to construct?
