Bomb blasts have shaken the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, with fire-fights on the streets.

The blasts were around Tharmin Street, a shopping and business district, in close proximity to foreign embassies and the UN offices. Police have said that the situation in now under control, with the five suspected attackers killed, along with at least seven civilians.

The attack has been confirmed to have been carried out by ISIS.

The assault has been described as an ‘Asian Paris attack’, of course referring to the siege on Paris in November, which was also carried out by ISIS supporters.
