If you’re planning on booking a holiday abroad anytime soon you’ve probably already tried to find the best deal across many different travel agencies (who thought there’d be so many?). It can be a particularly stressful process, as all you want to do is book a fairly priced holiday that you know will be enjoyable, without having to worry about the agency tricking you in any way. So, hopefully we’ll be able to make that search just a little bit easier by giving you a review of Jet2 Holidays.

What’s so good?

  • Customer service – one of the most important things when booking a holiday is good customer service, as it means you can always find a solution to any problem you have. Jet2 is particularly good for this, with friendly staff who will make sure you get everything you need.
  • An easy and relaxed transfer service – If you book a holiday with this travel agency then you’ll probably get a transfer included, which can be really helpful when you’re going abroad and have no idea where anything is. If you’re lucky like us, your driver may even play some great music to make your journey even more enjoyable. What more could you want?
  • The price – Jet2 is a budget airline, and you can generally book a holiday at a fairly low price. However, you must remember that the price tends to reflect the accommodation. If you’re looking for something a bit fancier you may want to try elsewhere.
  • Luggage allowance – 22kg! I repeat, 22kg! This is no doubt one of the best airlines for heavy packers, as you’ll be able to fit absolutely everything you need and more in your case.

What’s not quite so good?

  • Arguably false advertising – you know the frustrating thing that many companies do when they write in small print the bits they don’t want you to know until they have all of your money? Well, Jet2 appear to be no exception, and when it comes to holidays that’s the last thing you want.
  • As mentioned earlier, when you arrive at your hotel, you may be shocked that not everything seems quite as it was described when you booked it. It may only be a minor difference, or something a little bit more major, such as building work, but this is unfortunately just the risk you have to take when booking through a budget airline.

So, what’s our rating?

  • 4/5 – If you’re looking for a cheap holiday, and you don’t mind compromising a little bit, it’s definitely worth booking through Jet2. However, if you want to be completely certain what you’re getting yourself in for, and you’re happy splashing that little bit extra cash, it may be worth trying elsewhere.
