Kissing Coppers

An anonymous buyer in Miami has bought a mural of two police officers kissing, created by Banksy. The graffiti was auctioned off for £345,000 and was sold in the US after being removed from the wall of a Brighton pub.

Banksy is a UK based graffiti artist, political activist and painter. His true identity remains a mystery as the public don’t know his age or even his real name.The mural is one of his most famous graffiti projects. Several of the artists’ paintings have been removed from walls of buildings and sold at auction.

In May 2012, just before the Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Banksy spray painted the “symbol of local pride” on a North London wall. It has since been taken down and sold to a US collector for £750,000.
