Today, Keepmoat Stadium, home to the football team Doncaster Rovers, hailed the debut of One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson. ‘Donny Rovers’ are playing Middlesbrough and it’s been confirmed that over 5,000 tickets have been snapped up for the game.

Making his debut appearance during the Rovers’ reserve match, the 22 year-old is doing it all for charity. Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, a charity in his home town, Doncaster, welcomed Tomlinson as a patron last year after he previously played a charity match raising thousands for them. The singer signed a non-contract deal which allowed all proceeds to go straight to the charity he chose.

Speaking after he was signed last summer, Louis claimed it was a ‘childhood dream’ and also expressed his love for raising money for an ‘excellent’ charity. To raise even more money for Bluebell Wood, a limited edition ‘Louis Bag’ was launched, costing £5.99.
