Meghan Trainor has recently made a stand against extreme editing in videos, after she took action against her newest song ‘Me Too’. 

Her most recent video was taken down due to her unhappiness with how she looked in the video. But this isn’t about a superficial star wanting to look prettier.

The 22-year-old artist made a point of how they “photoshopped the crap outta [her]”.

Meghan has become something of a poster girl for the larger woman after her song ‘All About That Bass’.

“I’m so sick of it, I’m over it,” she explained on Snapchat. “So I took it down until they fix it.”

The artist has always been outspoken when it comes to manipulation of her in media. Her video has now been re-uploaded, raw and with her “waistline looking bomb”.

In an age where beauty is defined by Kardashian standards and make up no one can afford, it’s important to have role models willing to show who they really are.
