Five facts about Damon Albarn:
1) During the 1990’s Albarn had a long standing relationship with Elastica front woman Justine Frischmann. This relationship profoundly influenced his song writing.
2) Damon received Reissue of the year with band Blur in 2012.
3) Albarn’s strong anti-war political believes stem from his relationship with his grandfather, who was imprisoned as a conscientious objector during World War II.
4) When in the band Blur they won 40 awards and were nominated for 81.
5) At the height of Blurs fame in the 1990’s Damon attempted to turn his hand to acting with a on the crime thriller face. Sadly his performance alongside Robert Carlyle and Ray Winstone didn’t prove as successful as his pop – writing career.
