Sometimes it’s nice to report on something that has no ulterior motive. Seriously.

In case some of you aren’t aware, actor and actress Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie have officially gotten engaged. The announcement was in the Times newspaper. The pair met in 2012 on the popular show Game of Thrones, where they played lovers on screen as Jon Snow and Ygritte. Their storyline was by far one of the best, one full of heartache, angst and all that good stuff.

Ygritte (spoiler but it’s three-years-old now), died on the show after the Wildlings attacked Castle Black and Jon Snow went on to be one of the shows titular characters.

They made their public debut last year at the Olivier Awards.

Kit Harrington will star next in BBC’s drama Gunpowder, about the gunpowder plot and Leslie will star in the US TV series The Good Fight.

And there you have it.

Even if my life is a swirling pit of anxiety and general panic, at least these lovely people can be happy.
