Midweek Blues: Seals

From dancing on piers to photoshopping holiday photos, we’ve come a long way since that first article. But this one has baby seals in it. That’s like automatic stress healing right there.

Police in Gavle in northern Sweden have helped a stranded seal back to water after it was found trying to cross a road on Monday morning.

The small seal was found by a passer-by as it was trying to slide across the tarmac. The civilian alerted the authorities and the seal was soon back by the shore.

On their Facebook page, the Swedish police force said that “The seal was in good spirits when the police arrived at the scene.”

The small seal cub was transported back to water, using fish donated by a nearby restaurant as a bribe. The seal was carried part of the way due to fatigue, but as it reached the ocean, it “swam and dived around”.
