A few weeks after Mark Ruffalo announced he was on set, and would officially be starring in Thor: Ragnarok, he has now apparently finished his time on the film, after he posted a photo on his Instagram, captioned “Last day”.

Ruffalo, who plays the Hulk, wrote: “‘Waititi’ and ‘Ruffles’ on the set of #Thor3 last day. Had such a great good fun time making this movie. Thanks @taikawaititi @chrishemsworth@tessamaethompson @marvel for the love and the laughs.”

The Hulk will be starring heavily in Thor’s next film, but Ruffalo’s rather short time on set indicates that Banner won’t be appearing as much as the lean green fighting machine. Ruffalo earlier this year revealed the film would be a “buddy movie” between the God of Lightning and the Hulk.

“I feel like that’s kind of where we’re heading with this relationship between Thor and Banner,” he told Empire. “It is a universal road movie. It’s not where you’d think it will be, so it’s not your classic road movie but it has that structure, I think.”

Images were revealed last month of Hulk’s armour, which he will wear in the film. This has reinforced people’s thoughts that maybe Ragnarok will be taking some pointers from the Planet Hulk story arc in the comics. The storyline follows Hulk as he is transported to another planet by Doctor Strange, and battles monsters in various gladiator matches. And even becomes an emperor at one point.

Thor: Ragnarok will star Chris Hemsworth as Thor, plus Cate Blanchett, Karl Urban and even Jeff Goldblum.

The film will hit cinemas on November 3rd 2017.
