Here we go: June looks to be full of CGI, love stories and possible laughs. Here’s June’s five big films.

Me Before You – Emilia Clarke falls in love with a paralysed man she is meant to be taking care of. What will ensue? A love story fit for this generation when we already have things like The Fault in Our Stars? Who knows. Releases June 3rd globally.

Warcraft: The Beginning – Is there anything they won’t try and make a movie out of? Yes, Warcraft. After long talks with various companies, Blizzard are finally making their way to the big screen. Many press releases and meetings have claimed that Blizzard will pay fan service to the lore, while also keeping it accessible. In cinemas June 3rd.

Conjuring 2 – Jump scares, upside down crosses and creepy children: oh, it must be a second Conjuring film. Coming June 10th, let’s hope it doesn’t suffer from the Paranormal Activity virus. i.e. not knowing when to stop making the bloody things.

The Boss – Melissa McCarthy in another predictable comedy. Smart boss turned into bum then turned into business lady for girl scouts. Might be worth a few laughs, followed by regret as you realise you spent £20 to see it on the big screen.

Independence Day: Resurgence – CGI fest 2016. After 20 years of waiting, assuming you actually were waiting, Independence Day is back. With literally only a handful of the original cast returning, hopes are decidedly low here at b**p. Another classic film ruined by spreading too much CGI over the original whole-wheat goodness.

Well, there we go.

Another month, another slog of wannabe Hollywood blockbusters. (Coming from the guy who’ll probably see Warcraft on release.)
